Why is my gift card limited to $500?

Maximum Card Balance

To ensure account security, On Me gift cards have a maximum limit of $500. Please note that multiple gift cards cannot be combined into a single balance if they amount to more than $500.

Making purchases over $500

If you want to buy an item that costs more than $500, you can still use your On Me card by using a split payment.

How to do a split payment in-store:

1. Tell the cashier you want to pay with two different cards.
2. Ask them to charge specifically $500 (or your remaining balance) to your On Me card first.
3. Pay the remaining difference with your personal credit or debit card.
